Sorry for pestering with all these questions, hopefully this will be it for a while. (for reference this is on a beacon star 14" slab saw) first question is regarding the screw feed rod. The saw came with an extra one that has a different mount then the one that's on the saw. Whats the difference ? here's whats on the saw with just a straight coupler with (2 setscrews) and here's the extra one is this coupler some sort of clutch? next question: can anyone identify this piece that was in the box? I cant find a use for it on the saw. Thanks so much! Chuck

Can't help you with the last piece, but I believe the second pic shows the power feed that originaally came with the saw. That probably is a clutch.
Having never owned a Beacon Star saw, I'll leave the tech advice to those who have or do own them.

If there is a hole in the table raised lip the extra may be an adjustable stop. My old Frantoms had stops I could set at 1/4" from blade and advance the cross feed to it. Can't help with the power feed.

If the saw came with the "clutched" power feed version I wonder if its bad and that's why it was replaced with a non-clutched version. Is there any way to check it without putting it on the saw?
I was thinking of that extra piece being a guide for slab depth too but the color is off from the saw color and there is not any place it fits. That rod with the plastic ball is like what is found on a drill press so I assume that is made to turn this piece somehow.
If its not for this saw I was just hoping someone would recognize it and need it.
thanks, chuck
