That really sucks and you have some serious repairs there. GIVE YOU A NEW TOW BAR? To hell with that, they need to pay for everything including your lost vacation time. That is totally unacceptable. They are the responsible party. I hope you gig them and everything turns out ok. Jim

we are both just fine, thank god. We just left an area at 7000 ft. and no guard rail. Yes, i'm trying to get them to pay for the extra expense, but they say "its out of warrenty". I said, that means you product is no good once its out of warrenty? Yes. the 1 1/2" steel bar, just snapped and ran the truck into the back of the motor home.

Mary Ann, Billy says turn the info over to your insurance company and let them discuss it with Roadmaster. Jo

Glad to hear that no one was hurt. Scary ... I do agree with Jo, though. At the very least, file a claim so that your insurance company can investigate this and work with Roadmaster. Paul

I think I would be talkin' to one of those TV lawyers. Won't cost anything and you might get a good settlement. My uncle was travleing in a motorhome with air brakes. Slammed on the brakes and his 4 wheel drive truck came crashing through the back of the motorhome. No ones fault but his own. Curt

I'm glad you noticed it and managed to get the rig stopped safely!!! That had to be a terrible few minutes, I'm sure your quick action and some damn good luck kept the damage and injuries to what they are. GOOD JOB!!!

"...roadmaster said they would give us a new tow bar"
That's got to be in addition to fixing the car, the camper et al, right?
Sounds like Roadmaster isn't...
Glad you are ok. Good luck!
