Last weekend we went to Agate Beach to see the dock the washed up. It was washed out to sea by the tsunami in Japan. and here's the beach from an angle that does not show the dock.

When we were on vacation a few weeks ago we came across the dock. It has some large rubber wheels on it that would roll up and down on the pilings. My grandson waded out and took a close up photo of the writing on one of the wheels. The writing is in English so the wheel was obviously made for export. This was an odd way to export them to the U.S.! Bob

That's so ... random! Are they just going to leave it there or are there plans to get rid of it?

It's now removed. They used a diamond wire saw to cut it into semi-truck sized slabs and hauled to Portland. The plan is to grind it into filler for a parking lot. One piece is being reserved for a memorial.

I would imagine your going to find all sorts of concrete and other debris being called "Japanese tsunami debris" for sale there
