I found this at a garage sale today and found this fish paid 25 cents for it can anyone tell me what kind of rock it is. the one that didn't get away LOL the bottom

Soapstone.
Should be able to scratch the bottom really easily with a kitchen knife.

No expert here or anything, but if it is harder than soapstone it could be alabaster or onyx.

I thought it was marble from Pakistan distributed by Pier One etc. It was inexpensive but 25 cents is still an excellent price.
