Finally, after a year+ of saving and asking alot of questions from the ever-patient and generously knowledgeable folks here, I have my slab saw! I decided to go with the Lortone 12C with a 303C blade. As Gr knows, it was a struggle to decide what to slab first. I went with the Rainforest Jasper because it came to me in a cube, so I couldn't mess up the clamping. And then I went with Crazy Lace. Here is my first crop! There's no stopping me now!! ;D

Oh my that got me excited! There is nothing like cutting rock except opening presents (even chocolates you can guess after the first box or two) and the holiday is year 'round - yay for you!
One of my favorite things is to cut at unusual angles. Sometimes it's a total bust (bucket of tumblers, or worse - bucket of stuff to use as fill for tumblers) but sometimes it goes just the opposite and you get things that make people's heads snap on the double take (you can hear the crack, heh heh...) - and it's just plain awesome!
Have fun - keep posting pics - Donnie's 'off the saw' posts are some of my favorites ever - I'm hoping to see more from Krystee too (two people who's rock innards are nothing shy of poetry)!

Thanks everyone, it really IS like Xmas everytime I open her up and see what the slab looks like!!
I'm tackling Tiffany stone and labradorite today.
I need to find a little bucket, so I can be like Catmandewe/Tony ;D
