I had this in my yard for about a week, before she said i think it would look nice in your office. Solid teak root.

Great piece! I'm not sure my wife would let that in our house either ... probably make me take to the office as well! Paul

Very cool! We have a big show here at the art center featuring that kind of furniture and I love just going there and drooling over all the beautiful wood. Hard to fit that kind of stuff into a decorating theme unless you have a giant log cabin or something of that sort but man it is pretty to look at.....Mel

I do not know how I missed this but I am totally amazed by these pieces. The Chinese import huge huge tree stumps from Viet Nam and turn them into tea drinking tables, chairs and other furniture. A lot of them have stone in them that the tree grew around. One of these days I will do a photo series on the pieces. Some of them have to weigh a ton so I do not know how they get them into a building.
Do you know where that piece came from? Jim

That is AWESOME!!!!
I see a lot of local art pieces from drift wood that washes up in the San Juan Islands that people make table stands, lamp bases with etc... it's so beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen a solid teak root bench before though!!!
