Damn it! I missed it! I so totally meant to make this one! Too much going on, I guess.
Good luck to all the awesome players! Nice work on them all. ;D

ok, lol. Another Labradorite. We were slabbing up some rough and this particular piece literally fell off. It was an odd formation, kind of wedged in the rough. After looking at it, I noticed it had 2 flash plains almost on the same angle. Unfortunately it was very fragile, the color was very shallow and I lost most of the impressive color, but figured I would finish it up because its a kind of an odd piece. The blue actually started as a steel gray to deep blue, and the purple was dancing between the color shift. I rarely see such a solid color shift with such a small amount a movement. The one pic shows how the subtle angle change turns it from blue, completely to purple. The close up shows the blue fleck flash sparkling through the purple. Again, another example I have never seen. The boundaries of the color depth and formation (and rushing it) did not make for the best finish, but I wanted to share it anyways. Thanks for looking Carleton

Love the colors in that lab and the shape Thank you. I am really hoping I come across some more it was a bit of a tease. The shape was basically an outline of the flash, that shape just landed me another 10 to do after Chloey saw it ;D Carleton

All around nice cabs,
Bill, that opal is great, reminds me of a solar or electrical storm. Every time you see such a nice piece its normally the same story of a piece thats been sitting... lol, any idea where someone could get an opal of that quality color? We have still never found any good sources.
Gr, I'm always impressed with your work, but ALWAYS impressed with your pictures, I like how fearless you are, nothing to ever hide, every angle, every profile, never a bad angle.
