As some of you know, since that little rascal got into my cheese; I planed to follow up with a revenge piece. Started out with the same slab as the girl last week and at the same time too, before turning into 2D Then I hit a snag, realizing the immense seize of legs and talons required. Stopped and did the frame and the girl instead. After finishing the girl, I turned back and did the tail, leg and talons. That alone took one and a half days. The 4 talons are within a space of 3 x 3 x 4 mm. Thats certainly the smallest thing a have done to-date. In the end I still needed to do a new mouse as the old one is to big. I took Frogs advise from last time to have just butt and tail, but wanted more. So I put most of the body with a slight twist but no head. As it took yet again 6 failures, I threaded from here on with care in order not to break the tail, talon or mouse; finishing those three parts solely by hand (sanding to 5000K paper) and used the dremel for the rest. So then finally all came together: Frame 56 x 42 mm , Owl 50 x40 mm, Mouse 16 x 8mm, Overall composition 65 x 50mm Some angles And the best shot a while ago (all pictures are out-doors under cloudy sky) Thanks for looking, any suggestions to improve on future exploits are as always highly welcome.

That is super amazing - the owl is in for a surprise though - that mouse is heavy for it's size!

Sorry guys,
Due to lack of interest and general absence of discussions on subject matter, I'm withdrawing from RTH for the time being, hoping for a more conductive environment in the future (for more info and farewell message, see last post). I seem to have overstayed my welcome here, so hence, I'm going to remove all the content too.
Sorry again, will keep the account as such, so if someone would like to contact, you can do so by email at bchallenge@yahoo.com at any given time. Best regards, Kurt
P.s.: Sorry Dennis; please see apologies in PM. Will keep this post in circulation out of curtsey to you.
