Nobody wanted this last box of 12 that Fish was selling,so I took it off his hands. It had a huge rock in it.This slab is the first I did. Anybody tell me what it is? The3 on the right were just cut off one end if this rock,1 on left was off 1 side. Kinda muddies the water on id. It transitions into a moss The majority of this rock is moss agate,a surprise after the first 4 slabs snuffy

Looks like Kim's (Rockyraccoon) African lace agate.

Calico Lace Agate out of Mexico also has the look of the African material Kim was selling. Frankly I have a hard time telling the two types apart. I'd say that's the Calico from Chihuahua if I had to guess. Both varieties can have some fortifications and lavender tones too...Mel

I agree with Sabre52, Calico Lace is what I was thinking too.

Which one is more valuable, maybe label it that way! ;D Just kidding! Had a friend who sold hay and had all his round bales lined up in a storage area, people would come and want horse hay,pay more for it,didnt want cow hay. He'd tell 'em yeah, the horse hay is on the other end of the rows, coming right up

*L* There is one location in the north Cadys where we used to get similar moss. One heck of a nasty four wheel drive road in there though. Still, even then, I'd have pegged your example as Calico Lace. Just goes to show how similar geology can produce almost identical rough from widely separated locations. I always thought the Cadys stuff was kind of pretty but one of my collecting buddies referred to that color as "baby crap yellow" and used to discard it. *L*...Mel
