so i will be cabbing away , got a good shape and dome...all in all not a bad cab....but....wait a minute.....oh no !!....when i go to polish with cerium there appears a mysterious line or dot that is the same color as the cerium......ah....the cerium has revealed cracks or pits that i had not seen before .......so here is my question....is there a way to remove the cerium that has infiltrated the cracks.......?

Ultrasonic cleaner works every time!.....for me at least. It is also great for removing metal polish debris from jewelry/metal projects. It can get to the nooks and crannies where mechanical devices can't possibly reach. Bob

ultrasonic cleaner sounds like an idea to check into.....its just so frustrating because the pits/fractures are all but invisible in the absence of the cerium........thanks for the ideas everyone.........
