Got this one from Darstcreek and polished it with others he cut. Less than 1/8" thickness and another from this rock that was about twice the thickness. I could not get the rainbow to show up in the pics but it sure did in person. Have a tea colored one that seems to carry a red rainbow effect in its bands also. Attachments:

try again for the iris !!Your not gettin off that easy i wanna see rainbow.

I have not had much success taking photos of iris agate outdoors. Maybe try again with a non-frosted light bulb indoors. Sometimes even with a polished piece I put a little olive oil on it. That seems to enhance the rainbow for the camera. I do agree Iris agate is best viewed live. Don

I can see the rainbow in the bottom half of the slab, but I'm sure the ring goes all the way around. Some fantastic iris comes out of the Brazilian agate.
