There are a lot of newcomers on this board and some think the oldtimers are gone. We are not gone, were are here but choose not to post as much as we used to. Most of us still visit at least once a week. Oldtimers, please just chime in and show what this board is still about! Experience!
I have been a member since 2006, threw a tantrum and quit but came right back.

I do not know if I am a young timer or old timer. If it goes by how much hair I have I am the latter. Jim

What constitutes being an old timer, your age or your time on the forum or your post count? By the way when I signed up High Plains Drifter was quite active and I really learned and was inspired from his work. Has anyone herd from him. He has not been around for quite a while. Also has anyone heard from Steve Holmes I miss him as well. Really great guy.

I would think an oldtimer is someone who has been around the block a few times. But if you're talking about an oldtimer on this forum, then definitely it would be someone that's been on here for quite a while (more than a year, for sure!). I wonder who has been on this forum the longest, that is still actively posting? Jean

Dan (Hihgplainsdrifter) moved to New Mexico, he was on a little bit after he moved but I have not seen him in a while.
Steve (SteveHolmes) moved into a different house but still lives in the same area, he does come on occasionally but is not as active as he used to be.
I miss them both also.............Tony

Yes I come by and take a look at what everyone is doing.
Still tumbling, cabbing, groove wrapping, and cutting rocks.
Life is good.

Darn Bikerrandy...the last time I threw a tantrum I was shot in the neck with a 410gauge shot gun.
It really sucked. Point is I don't throw tantrums any more....;-}

I've been here a while, but like Sherry I don't post as much as I used to...I haven't had much time for rocks lately as I've got other things competing for my time.
FWIW: I also miss HPD. Glad bobby1 is still around.
Anybody remember Earthdog?

I don't have much to talk about. Busy with working on my house. Randy, I shot myself one time with a finish nail gun. No tantrum. James

My brother nailed his hand to a log above his head. Had no hammer in reach and took a lot of yelling to locate his wife to bring him a hammer. His wife threw a tantrum because hi injured himself.
James, at least you shot yourself.
Randy, how much time did you do? Jim

Earthdog started driving 18 wheelers full time and did not have much time for rocks. He did like his cigars!!
Wolfden, aka Dennis, anyone here longer than 3 years would be counted as an old timer in my eyes. 3 years with one forum is pretty awesome and dedicated!
Oh, and I learned my lesson and do not throw tantrums any longer! LOL I didn't hit or shoot anyone! LOL

(HUGS) Sheri,
I've been here a little longer than 3 years but I could never consider myself an old timer..... I've got too much to learn still from the wisdom of the people that have been doing this trade 10 to 20+++ years!!! I've perfected a couple of things but the vast majority..... I'm still soaking up any knowledge that is freely given ;D

Well, I guess I'm the Grandfather of the old timers. Sandsman has been here almost as long as I have, Krazydiamond,, and of course, the creator of this great meeting place, Mark.
Funny, I've been here a long time and I'm still learning new things!
