Howdy folks, Finally got in some shop time this morning. Cold front came in and no horse work for today so I hit the wheels, despite the fact that my piece of crap Genie is falling apart. Pump is erratic so I used one of those separate type geysers from Kingsley North and the base is now so bowed, I have to prop the machine up to level it enough to use the wheels. Anyway, mainly I'm cutting cabs for the vibe as I like to do those in batches of thirty or so. Finished three of those so far but I did have a few bone preforms from slabettes laying around and those have to be done on the wheels as they will undercut in the vibe so here are the results. Thanks for looking....Mel And the prettiest which of course, fell apart after I had it totally finished and was taking it off the stick. This I'll probably redo. I hate it when this happens!

Ed: Nope I bought those bone slabettes from the dollar bin at the Fredericksburg show last couple of years. I think I've only found a couple of hunks of dino bone in all my years of rockhounding. I'm afraid I hate cutting up my really good bone slabs so I try to go on the cheap and get what I can from the low cost bins. Actually, at last years show, I got some really nice and larger pieces from that same guy but I haven't got to those yet as I've been working a lot of my Rio Grande Agate and my Texas wood. This earlier dino material is pretty iffy. Even though I have to cut freeforms due to the smaller size and weird shapes of the little slabs, it's still fun to see what I can get for a buck *L*.....Mel

Beautiful! Red is my favorite color, and I love dino bones. Great combination, and terrific shapes and shine.
