I just finished this. I need to stay awake, so I'll be doing a few more, I think. My grand daughter was rushed from the hospital to Children's hospital with probable appendicitis and surgery. Poor thing is on morphine-- as if she wasn't nauseous enough. Some people would knit at a time like this. I'll wire wrap. Attachments:

I'm so sorry to hear about your granddaughter, I wish her all the best. Children's is the best place for her now, I spent two and a half years doing chemotherapy at the one in Omaha, NE and they do take the absolute best care of young ones I have ever seen. I spent from when I was 17 to when I was 20 in and out of their care, I'm 24 now and have vivid memories of Children's. The nurses, the doctors, all the people there will give her the best there is to offer. My prayers are with her.
Wire wrapping is good for the soul, as good as knitting, I'm glad you have it to pass the worrisome time.

Aww, thanks so much. It really is a worrisome time. Can't wait to see her in the morning. Her dad is with her now. Children's hospital really is great, she couldn't be in a better place.

That's really scary news. We'll pray that your granddaughter beats this and that the doctors will know exactly what is going on and treat it quickly and efficiently. My best to you and your family.

I know how scary it can be when our young ones need serious medical attention. My 3 year old Joshua had open heart surgery when he was 9 months. That was a very tense time for sure. Ironically....when my wife and I were in the hotel a block away from UCLA....I wrapped too. Kept me from focusing on what my boy was going through and held back the tears of fear!!!! The wrapping kept me sane and calm. God bless and I hope she comes out fine.
Oh and your wrap is beautiful!!!

Kids being sick or injured sucks, and the feeling of not being able to make it better for them sucks almost as bad. Hope for the best and I know it is difficult but worrying your self to death will not help her in the short term or the long term. It looks like you have that handled with the wrapping. My thing is pacing and driving everyone else that is waiting nuts. We are all with you in spirit.
You are very good at focusing on other things because that pendant is awesome. Jim

Beautiful wrap. I am glad to see that you have something creative to take your mind off of the worry. I have heard that the creative mind can calm thee worried mind and boy have I had my fair share of worried mind. I guess it does help.
Let us know how she does.
Beautiful wrap by the way.

HUGS to everyone! Thank you so very much. Positive energy is awesome!
Latest- she had to wait for 4 hours for a CT, she is still in ER because no rooms available, she is scheduled for surgery around noon. Her appendix was burst by the guy at the first ER. It was ready to burst anyway, I suppose, but it still p's me the hell off. Don't mind me- I'm just venting. Tired. I managed another wrap before I took a nap. (I was just checking my eyelids for cracks, really. Gawd, I'm getting old.)
My granddaughter is being well taken care of and resting comfortably. Nervous, though, bless her heart.

Thanks Hub. We've had 2 of our grandkids off and on since birth. More and more grand parents are finding themselves being parents again. I don't mind so much. I've already learned from my mistakes the first time! LOL! Bless you for keeping your grand daughter.

Yeah, she is finally getting into surgery with in the hour and then they will determine the amount that the infection spread. I'm praying she isn't too bad. She complained so little and her symptoms so vague we didn't know what was going on.
