I'm afraid the page does not load for me. Since I never pass by a cave, may I ask what are the hazards of this spider? Seems like it can hardly be worse than the loss of life and limb offered by the brown recluse, and I find the best way to deal with that one, since it is an unavoidable reality, is pretend it doesn't exist and hope for the best...

I read somewhere else they get to be 4 inches across. (I just got the heebie jeebies) Here's a link to a picture Peach. Hope it works for ya. If not you can google velociraptor spider. It's so different that it is a new subspecies, first in over 100 years in America. photos.mongabay.com/j/trogloraptor.big.46516.568.jpg

It's only a spider & all spiders are squishable! ;D Actually, I have nothing against spiders, they can be very helpful! However, I don't like walking into spiderwebs!

Last summer, I spent a few weeks roaming around my yard taking lots of close up pictures of various spiders and insects. I actually think the little jumping spiders are cute. Here's one I got this summer: Here are some more of my favorites: www.flickr.com/photos/82902904@N00/sets/72157631241290360/

I like jumping spiders. I allow them to live. But, four inches of that cave spider is 3 inches too much! LOL!

Ever since I read the Piers Anthony book with a heroic jumping spider, I've liked spiders:). Oh, can't forget Charlotte's Web either!
I have to like spiders, I live where brown recluses breed like hotcakes:).

I like the handle jumping spiders, the bigger black ones are my favorites. I've been picking them up since I was about ten years old. Most spiders are harmless. In Virginia, the only bad spiders are the black widows. We have wolf spiders too, they bite (painful) but generally harmless (except for the pain) lol
