I have about a dozen or more Bruneau nodules that I got a while back. I didn't cut them because they are hard on the saw blade and didn't look promising. Mainly brown with some light colored streaks. No visible orbs.
Longshot for a surprise if I cut them?

the best orbs seem to be about 1" inside of tennis to softball sized nodules.
if your nodules are small and show no sign of pattern, I think them may not offer much.
but why not hand feed some on a trim saw to cut in half. if they show patern, use a slab grabber and slice each half.

The nodules are between golfball and tennis ball size.

I have cut lots of nodules and some have orbs and some don't, seems to be about 50-50. Lots of times there is no indication at all, so it is just a cut and see sort of thing.

I ordered a new trim saw blade. I can sacrifice the old one to the bruneau
