I got some time to work on the ger roof today, and got it set up in the front yard. Something about round houses................I laid on my back to shoot a photo of the roof structure, and found it very peaceful. The dogs apparently did as well. As soon as the walls were up, they moved in. I had to chase them out for the pictures. My calculated rafter length was good, so now all I have to do on the frame is cut the excess rafters length off. Cathy: A ger has three layers of covering. The first, inner is white cotton , the second a felt layer for insulation, then a canvas cover. For the felt, I am using layered disaster blankets, which are actually felted. The traditional 1/2 to 3/4" felt is too expensive in this country. Woody
