Has anyone had Nova wheels resurfaced from Johnson Brothers? I see they advertise it. I am reluctant to send my used wheels in unless I know they will turn out OK. I sent in 2 used wheels to Amberworx for resurfacing and they are not smooth enough for me.
I really don't have time to resurface them myself either.
Thanks, Steve

Steve:
I asked my friend how she liked hers and she was pleased. She also had a coupon code that if you use it, you get a free set of diamond burrs and she gets a discount on her next soft wheel refurb. PM if you want contact info.

JB gave some free samples to the Searchers gem club. They hated them. Said they were too hard. Hard to beat the flexibility of the DP Nova.

I dunno, a little hard sounds good to me. Doesn't that mean they won't wear out so fast? I've got 4 - 6 inchers I need redone, just saving up my $$ till I can afford them.

Thanks, Steve I bought 4 Nova's from Diamond Pacific that came with 1/2 inch spikes covering the surface.... They said to dress them with a brick till they became smooth. maybe you could try the same on yours? I'm also experimenting on making my own Poly/rubberish medium to coat an old thumper wheel with to convert it to a 14K diamond polish wheel. First "mix" is drying now. If it dries to an acceptable finish, I'll go ahead and make the wheel up and see how it works/lasts. Couldn't find info on the linear poly, so am using a flex epoxy / liquid rubber mix on top of a replacement thumper rubber belt epoxied in place. Fingers crossed! I've got to go check the LP threads, see if any new info popped up.... Hope this helps! Phil

Yeah hard is not too much of an issue. What I care about is smoothness and consistency. I dop so I don't need lumpy wheels causing rocks to fly off into the wild blue yonder. Steve

Yes, several times. As Johnson Bros is only a couple of miles from our house. We have purchased new wheels and had our Nova wheels resurfaced. We have been very satisfied with the outcome. I realized this post is a few months late. Johnson Bros is having a huge sale on everything they sell. They are getting ready to relocate to a smaller facility I believe the sale will end on the 15th of January, 2013

Our club has five genies and a titan...we have sent in 3 sets so far and are happy with the results. I have a genie in my shop at home and sent in three wheels to be done, have only put on the 220 and 600 but don't see any problem....Coldwatergold

We had some galaxies redone. The diamonds started flying off the wheel within1/2 hour, and now the wheels have bare spots all over them. I don't think we'll buy anymore from them.

Johnson Brothers guarantees their ReSurfaced Wheels. If for any reason you are not happy, just returned the wheels to us & we will give you a full refund including shipping charges.
