the agate looks worth cutting. I do not think the bowl is agate, but it is interesting

The top photo looks like common Opal stone from the Kenite Quarry in George Washington. We were just there last weekend sifting through a pile.

That first one is neat Tammy. The second would make a nice bird feeder in the yard. Or if it's big enough, even a bird bath.

Nice agate! I always like walking the Gravel bars of river bottoms. You never know what you are going to find.

You've got a budding rockhound there! He is already has the eye for it. I like that bowl. I've seen those before. Looks like a dried mud ball after being compressed over time, though I am no geologist. Steve

Oh, that agate is choice stuff! The bowl looks like an ironstone concretion, with the bowl shape caused by erosion of softer layers by flowing water. We find that sort of concretion out in Little Panoche Creek and Silver Creek, often eroded in really weird shapes. That bowl is cool! Kris
