Don't throw those end nubs in the tumbler or scrap bucket until you take a good look at it. These were cut a couple years ago from Montana moss end nubs.

Unfortunately both cabs had edge chips. Just one of the hazards of working with Montana end nubs. All of the black moss is in healed fractures. Some healed better than others.

Another end nub cab. Biggs jasper this time. When I was setting the piece up to be slabbed, I saw a pattern on the surface that was interesting, so I gave the cross feed 1 extra turn. Turned on its side, it resembles a sea shell.
