There are new developments in the Clear Creek closure issue that could lead to the PERMANANT closure to rockhounding in 30,000 acres surrounding the Clear Creek Management Area. Legislation has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives, HR6286 Clear Creek National Recreation Area and Conservation Act of 2012, that rockhounds may be able to head off, if we act promptly. For further details, visit this page at the American Lands Access Association website: amlands.org/6652/67112.htmlYour emails, letters and calls to members of the House Natural Resources Committee will make the difference. Make your voices heard, rockhounds! Best regards, Kris
