I hope that you guys can help me, I have been offered a vibrating tumbler but all the seller could tell me was that it was called a BK 50, had a 3 kg capacity and was made in China .... I have googled the number but to no avail .... do any of you guys have any knowledge of this model, a bit more information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I find a number of Chinese web pages offering (wholesale) vibratory tumblers with model numbers that all start with BK. These are for tumbling things like bolts, small parts, jewelry findings etc. They are not made for rock and would not last very long if you tried using them for that. Unless someone here has heard of a "BK" tumbler made for rock tumbling, pass on it. Not even worth trying.

Thanks for your reply Daniel ..... I found tumblers numbered BK 0047 and BK 0048 on the internet, but as you say they are built for cleaning metal .... I was hoping that the BK 0050 was an upgraded version of one of these. I live out in the bush in Western Australia so travelling to view items before purchasing is a major and costly event as are shipping fees.

www.aussiesapphire.com.au sells three of the brands of vibratory tumblers made for rocks. It looks like the tumbler called the UV-10 (10 lbs) in the USA, is called the Smooth-3 (3 litres) in Australia. Same thing. Lots of discussion of the UV-10 on this forum. The other brand popular here is the Lot-O-Tumbler. I do not know if there are any Australian dealers though. I'm pretty sure most people on this forum order their tumblers sight unseen - based mostly on discussions and recommendations here.
