I just looked at the tech sheet for the Conoco Industrial Oil 100 and the viscosity looks a little thick. Their Industrial Oil #70 or #90 would probably be better (in that order).

The TSC near me finally opened and I was able to get 3 gallons, they had about 9 gallons o n the shelf for $48 & change with a 10% off grand opening deal.
Regular price is $17+/Gallon so I will be buying a gallon here & there as I have a little extra cash so I will be ready for my my oil change.... I have noticed, also, that the mineral oil doesn't cool as well as the old oil I have.... some of the rocks, especially agates come off the saw more than a little warm to the touch.
I have sponges from the dollar tree in my slab tray to catch the cut pieces so they don't break when they fall and I have 1 sponge on the end at an angle to wipe the slabs off on, to retain as much oil as I can.

Check Tractor Supply. Just got a flier from them. They have Hydraulic (mineral oil) oil on sale at $33.00 and change for 5 gallons. It may have a slight odor, but it's a whole lot cheaper than other options. If you can't stand the smell, go to your local Walley World and buy a quart of their cheapest baby oil to kill the smell.

I have a 10" Star Diamond - TS- I just purchased, and I believe I am going to use the TSC Ideal Mineral Oil. (Light). Covington has a supplement additive - Koolant #2 or something like that which you add to your oil (1:9) for the higher MOHs stones to reduce heat. I realize that a 10" does not generate the heat and grind pressure of a bigger slab saw, but cutting tiger eye and chrysoprase takes a toll on my blades. This thread is priceless. Thanks to everyone.

Will the tractor supply mineral oil work for a 24" blade?
What weight oil is ideal for 24" blades?

Yes. But check a local oil distribution house for amber neutral 100. I just paid $45 for a 5 gallon pail.
