Here is the second cab I cut of this material. I need to put it in the ultrasonic to get the polish out....but I couldn't wait. Thanks for looking, Christopher

If they only knew how much hard work it took you to collect that rock!

That some fine hounded rock I enjoyed the write up do you think that yellow is calcite? regardless I'd say its the last chance for those scratch ! o yeah Ed Ed, that's what we "old timers" call "opal/agate." We collected it back in the late 80's, before the State expanded the borders of Redrock Canyon park. When we went back in the late 90's, the BLM rangers saw us stopped along the Inyokern/Randsberg Rd, and warned us about the restrictions. Those plumy areas are opal, as far as I can tell, though it might be totally different material. That material was left behind in another "life" for me, back in '02. Pity, that ... Had a couple of tons of rock, and nowhere to keep it. Anywho, sweet stuff, Christopher! Worth the sweat, tears, and hopefully, no scraped knees! Can't wait for the finished stone! Cheers! Kris

Kris,
You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Only we collected north of the boarder. Those hills out there still hold untold and hidden treasures!! Oh it was only my shins that got scrapped up from the brush....lol
