Here`s a couple of cabs I did today of my serpentine? aka nephrite? bowenite? When the two colours mix together, the yellowy material is a weave of furry 3 dimensional colour in the green background. I'ts a real neat effect considering the green is barely translucent but the yellow is so bright it is allmost flourescent. I am the master of crappy picture so you can't see the detail of the yellow tendrils. Thanks for looking. Attachments:

Very cool stone and nice shine on those cabs! I think viewing the photo smaller lets me see the depth better. Definitely a cool stone!

Serpentine comes in such a great variety of patterns. Very cool.

I should mention that this is the same material that stratifies and gives me the stripey green material or mixed gives me the above material. The yellow runs to 6+ mohs and the black and green just slightly softer. It is a very solid and tough material with no pits or voids and shines up easily.

Interesting rocks- Can't say I've seen any like it. Nicely done cabs, too.
