Hi. A while back I remember reading and maybe even posting in a thread about what different backing materials people use. One person posted about the compound he had specially made, but that it was expensive, he had to buy it by the gallon and he was going to try and get the supplier to offer it up in smaller (pint?) cans. I've done several searches here on the forum, but can't find the thread. does anyone remember it, or more importantly, who the person was with the specially ordered compound? Thanks! Phil

I'm not sure, but I've had good success using DevCon (metal infused epoxy). It's expensive, but a little goes a long way. I just put small dobs of it on wax papar and press what I want to back into it.
