You know, I just do not like those ends. They come loose. I wrap .025 sterling around the leather by first making a swirl around something round about the size I want to put the lobster clasp to. I then start at the bottom and wind the wire up, one side going one way, the other going the other way over the first wrap. Simple, strong, and people like it. The other alternative is to drill an hole using #67 drill, then putting the jump ring through it. Those end tags keep coming off on me. I do not like them. The spring ones are no better, the end that is bent into the leather eventually makes it break there. Just get some .025, and experiment away.

#67 drill thru the leather cord...and then a splint jump ring...on each end correct?

Michaels Crafts carries them. Not sure if you have one near you though...

Yeah CP. For innovation, you can also drill into the end and put in a small screw eye. They also make them in sterling. A little cyanoacrylate and poof! instant end. I would also wrap this end just for cosmetics.
