Oh my goodness.... Daniel, you already know what I think about the rocks you choose and slabs you cut but the Pietersite, well, the pictures look 3D.... The blue looks like snow peaked mountain tops with many valleys and a dark scary cavernous dropping in the middle. It's strange how real it looks. The bottom part of the stone is absolutely beautiful but the top just captivated me like a fine piece of nature photography.
Your 2nd is unbelievable but that Pietersite just grabs me! I'm in awe.

I can see why you had to have the Pietersite. It is certainly a keeper. What is that second one? Love those floaters in the honey.

That is peanut wood, and I understand the pattern is due to work burrows. I am not completely clear why the fossilization of the wood and the burrow end up with different color and opacity. But I like the stuff.

A new kind of alchemy - turning agate/jasper/petrified wood into Pietersite and Seraphinite!
My question is how are you going to avoid hypnotizing yourself while you are working on the Pietersite? A rock you could drown in....
Good hunting, that was!

Nice! My wife and I laugh every time we come across pietersite. One of the first shows we went to a guy had pietersite rough and slabs. Can't remember the prices but for story telling let's say the rough said $10 and slabs were $10 to $15 ea. I figured 5 slabs or so from each piece of rough so I picked out four really nice ones. "That will be $640" he said. I guess it was $10 per gram not $10 each. I had to sheepishly apologize and walk away empty handed.

It weighs significantly more than the model - and evidently is causing a static charge, what's up with the hair?
Great slabs, Daniel.
