I found this in a new load of Moroccan agates yesterday. The color of the opal crust did not pick up well in pics. It is a Pepto-Bismol pink. Might make a nice look in its natural border polished in whole slices. Attachments:

Looks great. I'd probably lose all the pink when I threw it in the tumbler.

So I decided to cut it from a point with undisturbed crust on it to catch the border of pink. May get to cut more of it this weekend. A simple run through the vibe may be enough to get these guys presentable. Whatcha think? To dome or not to dome? Attachments:

That's a nice looking agate. Is the pink part opal?

Yes Carloscinco it`s pink opal crust that seems to be really solid. There are some small spots with a thin brown crust over the opal that I plan to take off with a Dremel. My thought was to knock off any sharp points just enough to keep it from snagging on anything and polishing them in their natural form. I think a wire wrap or anything would distract from the real beauty of the stone with a natural opal border. I am going to have some slabs with partial borders of pink so I`ll have a chance to try a few different things on plenty more. Thanks for the comments ya`ll.
