Now, I sure went overboard last weekend but I sure had a lot of fun! Busted my budget for a long time but I think I have enough to keep me busy Now, I don't know what a lot of this is so if you know, let me know. Ocean Jasper Old Graveyard, Lepidolite and OJ. I will have to think on the others This guy didn't know what the slabs were but I really liked them. I have seen the lace looking ones before but can't remember the name. The other is a wild mix and really solid Amethyst sage, amethyst lace, a big chunk with crystals and medicine bow I can't remember what the purple was but I think it started with a TH. Some lapis and Owyhee. This and that... lace agate, Trapper creek Bottom row is rolling hills dolomite and sowbelly Thanks for looking! Fran

This one is really cool. Not sure what it is but it has little dendrites in clear agate on the bottom and a lacy pattern above. The older guy could not remember what it was called, same with the other in that picture. Maybe a wood. Fran

Is the purple piece in pic #6 chatoyant/shimmery? If so, then probably charoite.
If that last picture in your second post is palm or fern, then the coloring is spectacular. Whatever it is, I can imagine it will make great gems.

The three like slabs in the fourth photo are Black Lace Agate from Brazil. Back in the 70's a good bit of that material was brought into the U.S. but I haven't seen any new stock since the 70s. The lace patterns were large so it looked best as very large cabs and also made cool spheres. The bottom slab in the very last photo is a pretty piece of Ohio Flint.

the one you said was a wild mix and really solid looks to be mahogany obsidian, pretty sure it is anyways.

I have flint close to that, but the eyes are very palm root. I leaned more to palm because I never saw small agate fortification areas in flint, but flint is a good possibility flint is a little more brittle than agatized palm root. it has a different feel and sound when struck this is some of my flint with similar color/pattern, but it is not quite.

Great buys Fran. The last one certainly has the colors of flint ridge but I agree the pattern looks more like palm.
