really nice stone! The wrap goes without saying; well I'd better anyway, real nice wrap too!

Hub, once again you floor me with your creativity. I LOVE the look of your wraps... so unique, so simple (the hardest thing to achieve successfully), and so creative. Frankly, that's a pretty blah rock that you turned into a near work of art. It's always fun to look at your stuff:).

First, excellent piece! I really like the stone and the wrap is perfect with it. Now the dissection: Two different pieces for the wrap using two gages of wire. You groved then drilled? the one side for the inlay of wire and beads...gorgeous job on that!, then polished with the dremmel or hand files. After that, you added the second wire and completed the piece. Is it a bead on the bottom or did you melt it and shap to a ball? Also, did you use the first wire to bind the second? Looks like full round on the binding. What did I see wrong? Also, did you do two different depths on the grooving because of the two different wires? This is a very complex piece, even if it weren't a groove!
Have to work the job today but am going to try to get to the two pieces I'm working on tonight for a bit. May be a day or two more but will post when done...or when I run into serious problems.

I love this. There are very few pieces I like that involve beads, but you have changed my mind.

Hub, this is AGAIN outstanding- a work of art. I have to say though- You have to have to strongest hands around. That 12 gauge looks hammered. Please don't tell me you bent it after hammering it, too. My hands hurt thinking about it. LOL! You da man, man. ;D

Thanks you guys! You always inspire me to keep trying new things! First I thought the stone was cool, but doesn't look to cool in photo, I groove 1st, fit the backbone piece curl top and torch a ball on the bottom, then hammer flat to fit in groove, drill for beads, wrap wire at top of backbone, lay wire and beads in groove and then wrap bottom wire to backbone, that's it. Nothing to it lol..........Hub
