Weather has cooled down,got the saws crankin' back up.Fall gardening and cuttin'rocks outside,good time of the year. Got this large blue chunk a few weeks back.Looks like a chunk of quartzite. Birds eye rhyolite and leopardskin Snowflake ob. Mary Ellen jasper from Jason Amethyst Mookite Turritella Enjoying it!! snuffy

Looks like you're having a good week! First ones remind me of Dumortierite also known as "Desert Lapis"

that's some great looking Turritella! any pyrite in the first pic? Here ia a closeup. The top of the slab is a white quartz.The shiny specks seem to be reflection off of crystals inside. snuffy

Awesome! Really like the Mary Ellen. The blue material does look like dumortierite from a distance but could also be blue quartzite from the Pagan Mine in Georgia. I have some of that around somewhere I got in a trade from one of our group.....Mel
