Howdy folks, Cleaned out the UV-10 so I could start another load of cabs. Another large mixed batch but here are a few highlights. Thanks for looking.....Mel Lot of Bots in this load: Prairie Agate: Mexican lace and purple moss: Some of Jim's ( Wampidy) larger sized red agates: Just starting to have some Royal Purple Amethyst Lace come out. This stuff takes forever to get halfway smooth. Some of those weird flint stromatolite and fossils rocks from our yard: Some Hornitos Poppy from up at our old ranch: This stuff is so problematic. Has gold bearing sulfides that create spots, and the normal poppy fractures. I usually wind up throwing half out into my gravel walkway. Strange palm like wood from down by George West, TX And finally, a small Marfa Plume endcut:

Beautiful bots are hard to beat, those are wonderful.I've got a couple pieces identical to the flint stromatolite, was wondering what they were. Nice shaping on all those.

beautiful rocks on every pic... I have something similar to the last one except it is full of green, and I mean bright green like actual plants in the rock! I have a small batch in my vibe atm... I hope it comes out half as nice as yours did!!

Wow! That's a really shiny batch of rocks. Too bad that hornitos poppy isn't easier to tumble. It's really cool looking.

Toad, Yep, several of the bots have red areas in them.
Juggler: Yeah, the Hornitos Jasper came from a gold mining pit and the pit had also been mined for another type of poppy which was mostly exported to Germany back in the sixties. The other type was red and white and much ore solid. Unfortunately, a very high percentage of what was left in the tailings was fractured or had other problems. I save the best examples for cabbing but try to tumble some now and then with mixed results. I think maybe that pit was blasted at some point because most the other Hornitos material is more solid than the Morgan Hill material.....Mel

Love that Marfa plume. I was in Marfa once as a kid, wasn't that impressed, but didn't know they has such rocks then. Maybe it's time to return.
