Late Tuesday afternoon my 2 1/2 year old Great Grandson was playing in the yard and was bitten by a Copperhead. The local hospital flew him to Dallas Children's Hospital. He is doing fine now and is back home.
This is a birthday that I'll never forget. Scared the Devil out of me.

Back when I lived a little north of Scranton Pa, there was this kid. He had a coffee can of "worms" he had collected. He was crying and kept saying the "worms" kept biting him. He had collected new hatch copper heads! They were tearing him up on his hand. We got him to a parked ambulance to be rushed to the hospital. I never did find out what happened, but, I never forgot that. The family had just moved into the area from Los Angeles. I do not care for snakes much, and, 40yrs later, I still remember that. Gives me shivers. I live and have lived where Copperheads were abundant, and I never saw any short of that can full of "worms" that day. Glad your Grandson is ok. Still gives me shivers.
