That's even good advice for a young man in a bar although he may be trying to attract that type Ed

Over the past few years, I have encountered cougars here in Washington, and Oregon at least once a year. So far yelling at them has made them run off, but the 9mm is safety is going to off at the same time. The spooky one this year was finding a young calf half way up tree still bleeding and the 9mm in the rig 200 yards away. Woody

In Troup County (LaGrange and West Point), a couple of years ago, a man shot and killed a panther at West Point Lake. The panther was a Florida Panther which is protected and an endangered species, and believed to be someone's pet. Poor guy was slapped with a heaping fine and 2-year probation for shooting the big cat. www.fws.gov/southeast/news/2011/11-057.htmlOur neighbors claim that we have a pair of bobcats living behind our homes in the woods. Caught this animal, about 40 yards away, in their backyard a couple of weeks ago. Sorry for the lack of photography skills. Looks like Smurf cat. lol.

Yeah. Don't know what's with the mountain lions lately. They were thick as fleas back at our California ranch and now we have them bedeviling us here at the Texas place. We've lost at least three blackbuck and maybe 10 or so mouflon lambs in just the last month or so. I'm back to packing heat again when I go out alone to clear trails. Pigs all over the dang place too so's I get a little jumpy all by my lonesome back in the canyons....Mel
