It does! It has always been one of my favorite stones to cut.

Cut this one this afternoon, finished well and has a great pattern. Beautiful! The opalized wood I found near Grand Junction, CO this summer has been a disappointment. When I cut it, it was pretty plain. I haven't decided whether to cut some more and cab it just to see, but for right now, I'm not happy about it. I have an internet friend from OZ who I correspond with several times a week and I'm trying to convicne him to send me some stuff from Coober Pedy. So far he's not biting. I'd love to get some rocks from OZ, perhaps via trade or by buying, but everyone I've talked with wants a fortune. It's that way in all countries for some reason. I'm a hobbyest and I collect for myself and family, no selling. So sometimes it's disappointing that people can be so secretive about where they collect. People like Tony (Catmandewe) are few and far between, someone who does have a business AND is willing to share with others what he knows. I should add that the folks on this and another forum I frequent have been VERY helpful in leading me down the right path to learning the lapidary hobby. That is very much appreciated.
