;D Hi Rock people! Just a little Jasper from a local river, found a couple weeks ago. I started picking this stuff up in a lot of different colors. This stuff is by far, the hardest stone I've ever worked with. Also beaded the necklace!! Thanks for looking..............Hub Attachments:

Great necklace, everything works beautifully together. But the jasper steals the show--it looks like an abstract herd of deer to me. I'd love to visit your creek.

Just seeing rain would be exciting to me, Hub. I think those on the coast and those in central should trade places every weekend or two.

Hey hubrocks, that piece is amazing. Is the stilly river you mention in Washington. We have a cabin there near Verlot. I'm always picking stones up but never know what I'm grabbing lol. Pretty much anything green and red Haven't been back to the cabin since the rain started. I bet it's high right now and only getting higher. A friend up there said they got a taste of snow. Can't wait for the snow up there. Cheers, Matt Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards

Very cool Hub, your on the jasper side of Still we are near the Ranger station closer to Granite Falls. I'm still trying to learn what's up there. I grew up on the river camping and scouting. I like gold panning for placer and garnets. Never found much but love the relaxation. Being new to rock hounding I tool pics of our recent river hounding. I haven't had much time to identify them yet but here's a link to the pic's. db.tt/RNDux6lPdb.tt/RNDux6lPIf you're looking for a hounding buddy I'd love to meet up sometime. Meeting up sometime would be great. We go up in winter frequently but meeting up in spring would be a blast of an outing.

Oh and hub, the necklace looks really sharp. I like the simple copper embellishment.
