Best of luck to ya! Quartz is tricky for sure. So much variance of hardness even within the same rock sometimes. But when done to a good polish it is rewarding.

I'm happy for you, I know how it feels! To me one of the things that I find more useful is the ceramic tumbling media. I buy the large and small sizes and use them to complete the barrel’s load when I don’t have enough material to fill them. They are also great with softer and brittle rocks like quartz. I’m looking forward to see your batch of amethysts and citrines.

Congrats! If you get through the quartz unscathed, most other rocks will be easy for you. Good for you for sticking with it.

Good work Tony, and keep hanging in there. I'm excited to see how things come out!
