So I picked up a Beacon Star 2 wheel grinder for a steal earlier this month and just got to setting it up. I pulled a motor off of an old band saw that I had sitting around for the better part of a year. Motor bolted to bracket - check Grinder bolted to bench - check Motor bracket bolted to bench - check I fired her up and...the wheels are spinning backwards. Crud. I would have a lot more to say, but this is a family board...

Don't know about your bandsaw motor, my Craftsman is reverseable, look at tag on motor housing or for one on inside of wiring connection cover for info on rotational setup with the wiring.

Most reversible motors will have a red and black lead in terminal section. They will be slip on type connections. Just switch the positions.

Try reversing the leads and then you won't have to fill the holes. Pictures!?
