Aunt wanted me to make her a key chain. Figured I could just take a slab from one of my wind chime nodules and put a split ring on it. But I thought it would be too fragile, especially how some women treat their purse, a catch all for 20 pounds of junk with the keys in the bottom. So I sat in my Lazboy and pondered the meaning of life for a while when I thought this up. The top two are free formed circles, so kind of off on the size, the bottom left and center are with a core drill and the bottom right is from a foot long section of core sample from an Ak gold mine. Thinking $5 a piece would cover me. 5 cents for the cap, 3 for the ring and ~ .75- $1 per circle would make it worth my time.

Their new caps, got them from Michael's just to try out the concept. $10 for 48. Found a place online that sells 100 for $5 though.

Geoff, you realize that ten pounds out of that twenty are items their husband asked them to carry... At least, that's how it works at my house - lol! Jean
Oh, and those are really cool!!!

Nice idea. I'm always looking for ways to use cabs other than jewelry. Amber just bought some jacket pulls that we are going to try.
