Stu lives right on the Jersey shore so I have a feeling that things are bad for him. I just hope that he got the hell out of there before it hit. That area is unbelievably ripped up. Jim

As of Thursday in New Jersey, the Hess Corp. refinery in Port Reading and the Phillips 66 refinery in Linden both remained shut down, reducing capacity by 308,000 barrels a day, according to a report from the Energy Department. The Philadelphia Energy Solutions refinery in Philadelphia, Pa., ran at reduced rates. “Production from the six major oil refineries in the area affected by Sandy has dropped by close to 50%.”
Obama orders fuel to be sent to areas hit by Sandy
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration is ordering the purchase of up to 12 million gallons of unleaded fuel and up to 10 million gallons of diesel fuel for distribution in areas impacted by Superstorm Sandy to supplement private sector efforts. The Federal Emergency Management Agency said Friday that President Barack Obama has directed the Defense Logistics Agency to handle the purchase of the fuel. It will be transported by tanker trucks and distributed throughout New York, New Jersey and other communities impacted by the storm. As usual, the local RWNJs are apoplectic over Bwonco Bamma’s actions.

I'm from central Jersey, just got power back. I have a well, so no power no heat and no water. All better now though. The first hot shower in 5 days felt really good. There are a lot of people that are not so lucky and need help. Pat

Well that was a fun 10 days LOL Got power back a few hours ago. Lots of tree damage though. So there is going to be some rebuilding. The outpouring of help from the utility companies from all over the country was and still is amazing. When a caravan of utility trucks from out of state road up my street it was like the cavalry coming to the rescue. There are a lot of good people out there. With no power those chickens that I cooked up came in handy LOL But for the most part it was a lot of peanut butter and jelly. Glad to see that everyone made it through this OK. Thanks everyone for your concern Stu.
