Just look at all that erosion going on out there!!!!!
When that storm is over you better be out there collecting all them good rocks that are getting uncovered/washed up on shore!!!!

The only thing that we really got here in Virginia Beach is lots of crappy weather. I heard that some areas were flooded but I haven't seen them but my wife saw some minor street flooding on the way to work this afternoon. We haven't lost power.

Well the storm hit and my power is still on. On the bad side my next door neighbor has these really tall pine trees like 150" tall and one of them took out my back yard. THANK GOD my dogs were in the house or they would have been history. In fact had the tree fell a few feet to the left it would have taken out my family room. My neighbor and I will be having words. Those trees are just to big fpr his property Well seeing thst the only thing left to do was wait I thought that I wold do some cabs before the power went out. Well that didn't play well with my wife. She said "Who are you Niro?" So I cooked big bird instead, well a few big birds LOL Storms always make me hungry but than again most things prove to be good reasons to eat. LOL I love to cook and my roast chicken has the crispyest skin ever. Thanks for all the good wishes and please be safe everyone. Stu

I'm back! ;D lol... talk about strange, I typed "we haven't lost power" at 6:17. as soon as I click on "POST REPLY", the power went out. What are the odds of that? It was the first time that we've lost power since the storm started. Fortunately it was only out for 5 minutes but wow.

dang stu that's one tasty looking chicken. funny, I have one in the oven right now too.
hey sands, that's just the nature of living in new mex...lots of drunk driving going on out there. I was surprised by all of the sobriety stops on the HW when I visited ship rock a few years back.

Good looking storm fowl.
We lost power for an hour today from an un-Sandy related storm that is still howling. Fortunatley 2 guys on our street work for the electric company. They got us prioritized even though they are currently on the eastern seaboard waiting to deal with the aftermath.

Randy, that's uncanny. Hey Sands, you need to go back to Jersey, you're missing all the excitement, LOL. JK, Sandy can be really serious. We've had a couple few horrendous days during our evacuation from Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks of NC. Our truck broke down and we had to ride out the storm in a motel room on Roanoke Island and have our RV towed to high ground. Rain stopped about 4 PM, but it has been windy and it turned cold. Never lost power. Glad we evacuated though, the campground where we were staying is under water and the island is cut off.

You might hit the beach with the metal detector when the place gets back to normal. That high rollin surf might just expose more than rocks !

Been through my share of hurricanes, nor’easters, ice storms over the years – this one took the cake. Neighbor’s living room.

Oh Man! That really sucks. Rich, I sincerely hope that you and your place came through unscathed for the most part, and friends and family are safe. Sad to see all the old trees that are upended too.
