Okay, here are a few Iceland photos, but later I will post a link to my Photobucket album that has ALL the photos(I took 362 in a week!) Here goes. This is Day 1 in Reykjavik Sculpture on the wharf A new building going up on the wharf An old church in Reykjavik Iceland Coast Guard One of the thousands of churches throughout the Country My wife Susan in a weird rock formation Me An area where the Eurasian and the North American plates are moving apart by about 1" a year. Another Church Geo Thermo vents The Glacier Icebergs in a lagoon where a Glacier is sliding down the mountain Mountains at sunset around Lake Myvatn Fishing vessel at Akureyri harbor The next 3 photos are of the Aurora. As you can see, we had gorgeous weather in just about all the places we visited. A bit chilly, about 32-42 degrees, but sunny. We rented a car at the airport upon arrival and based our trip on the Islands ring road. We headed South East and kept going around the Island to the north end, Akureyri, where we turned in the car and flew across the Island back to Reykjavik and took a bus to the International Airport. I definitely recommend a vacation to Iceland for anyone who wants to go somewhere unique, but take at least 2 weeks! I hope to have the link in a few days.

Fantastic pics, can't wait to see all of them. As Amber said its one of the places I've always wanted to go. I promised her a trip to Europe and that qualifies so we'll get there sometime in the next few years.

I just loved seeing that glacier in the water and the aurora. That split in the plates is quite intriguing. How did you find the people? Were they nice? Jo

Wow, trip of a lifetime! Great pics Ed, looks like a lot of geological turmoil happening there. Find anything worth cabbing out among them stacked stones?
