Hi Brian,
Thanks for sparing us the pictures of your nekkid rock hounding. :-D Looks like another great day at river, you need to take me up there sometime. Looking forward to seeing some slabs.

Tim I assure you no nekkid rock hounding took place LOL!
There are geothermal hot springs down along the river that attract the naturist crowds. Swinging a rock hammer in the buff seems_way too dangerous to me.. heh

Always love your field trip reports Beef!!! Maybe not a huge haul but what a day well spent! Those pieces are AWESOME and you ALWAYS find the GREAT STUFF!!!!! Too much mental imagery when not expected. Swinging a rock pick in the buff...... I can't take it......

LOL, Ed! Awesome photos, Beef!! Wonder what the imprint is in the rock. Pretty funky that it goes through it. That red moss agate is gorgeous! Have you fished there? The nudity prohibited sign is hilarious.

Thanks everyone! Jan I've pulled some big channel and flat head catfish out of this area of the river. There's lotsa small mouth and some large mouth bass as well.

Great trip, and even without a full tailgate that is a great haul! Beautiful place. Rockhounding here is winding down as more and more places have snow. If I can find any excuse at all to get south this winter I hope I can find somewhere as nice to look
