Well we just got our power turned on a few hours ago, after 10 days with no electric, heat or phone. I am right near the coast. I used to say I am right near the beach but there is no longer a beach. We lived through it but you all probably know more about the devastation because I have not yet seen any pictures. Thank God for On Star. Those folks kept me in communiction throughout the storm and the 10 days without power. They continuously reloaded minutes onto my car phone through on star and refused to charge me. Great people!!! I hope everyone made it OK Stu

Stu, bud I was worried about you. Glad you made it through the storm. sorry about the beach, but look on the bright side, now you have porch side surf fishing! go get a salt water rod and get some of those massive stripers out there.

Welcome back Stu. Glad to hear you made it through that mess. Hope more of our east coast people will check in and let us know how they're doing.
Like Don said, get yourself a good surf pole and get you some of those fish. Don't forget to check the rocks that were exposed when your beach washed away.

Wow Stu, wow. So glad to finally hear from you. Like those guys said, only I will add to get out the metal detector too.
We got caught in Sandy too and rode it out in a motel room. Not by choice mind you. It's all in the blog. Jo

Glad you made it through safely.
I was looking at pictures of the devastation and there was one picture with huge boulders laying all over the place and the caption said that all the boulders were washed up on shore during the storm, and of course I was wondering if any of them were good ones.
Hope there was not too much destruction at your place. Tony
