I've been wanting a horizontal flat lap and found one of these on craigslist locally, used for $75
Thoughts? Anyone familiar with these?

I would say if it is only 75 dollars, it may really be a good deal. I had an inland and hated it but I still find I have uses for it, like flattening out the back side of a preform or using a shaping attachment to grind the sides of a preform down so you can take it to the wheels and complete. They will do cabs all the way through to a high polish as well. My gripe with the Inland was the motor always overheating and having to change discs to move on to the next step. Truthfully, I would take the risk if it looks in good shape.

If you can grab a Crystal Master flat lap for $75, run don't walk, and go get this thing! While I have never used Crystal Master, by all reports these are much better built and much more durable than some of the other more popular, better known flat laps. Part of this maybe due to the fact that the Crystal Masters are much more expensive than the other brands.

That is a sweet deal. Graves makes quality equipment.
