Well, we got some winter weather this week. It's been snowing for two days and blowing a bit too. So far we got about 8" yesterday and about the same today. I even got a blizzard warning notice on my cell phone. Last time the weatherman predicted a big snow it was only 2" but this time he called it right. I'm glad I don't have anywhere I need to go right now. If only I had gotten that milk and hot cocoa when I was at the storm the night before the snow started. The mailboxes in front of my apartment gradually got snowed in. So did my truck I was going to clear off the mailboxes but they looked so cool I decided to leave them alone. The mailman didn't even clear them off, although maybe that means no mail if the mailboxes are buried. Hmm, may have to clear them off tomorrow. I think this is the most snow I've seen since I've lived here.

Sounds like North Dakota and Montana are getting hit with blizzard, black ice and temp drops! Glad I moved to Oregon two years ago from North Dakota!!! I hate snow and all that comes with it! Stay safe!!!

Cold Sheri, ha, you make me laugh :-D it was in the negative numbers the other day here. Ya gotta be tough to live here...lol. You are too sweet. Yeah Fossilman you did dodge the bullet on the snowstorms by moving although what fun is that, nothing to complain about...lol. Sorry Scott, it's headed your way usually after it hits here although I think we took most of the snow out of the clouds before we sent it on it's way. I had to go out today for an appointment and I got a little rattled. The roads near the apartment are not plowed very well and what was plowed is not packed snow with ice because a little of it melted then froze again. It wouldn't have been so bad had I not had to go uphill to turn onto the main road. Two wheel drive trucks with rear wheel drive don't take to slick hills very well. I slip slided a bit but made it out with only a few dirty looks from other drivers. If I didn't have to drive it would be great but oh well, hazard of living in the great white north.

Put some rocks in the back of your truck Diane, that will help alot. (Dont use the good ones, just the yard rock type of stuff, the heavier the better, keep the good ones inside where it is warm.)

Good idea Tony, I do have some sandbags in there along with the snow still piled up in the bed but don't have any rocks in it. Most of the good ones are packed up in storage so keeping dry but don't know about warm. They don't complain much so I'm guessing it's fine...lol. I gave away the 50 lb fractured agate yard rock unfortunately. Geez, guess I didn't plan this out too well. Fortunately I'll probably be headed down south in a month or so anyway.
