Kingsley North let me down with their 60/90 grit not being on sale this September with free shipping, unless I missed it. I buy in 50 lb quantities. The two better prices I've found are Miles Supply,@72.63,$50 shipping, total $122. Kingsley North is $100 plus $32 shipping,for$132 total.Anyone find it cheaper anywhere else? If you do,please let me know. Need to order some in the next week. snuffy

Snuffy,
A couple questions:
Do you know if the 50 lb bags of grit you've gotten from Kinsley North or Miles Supply were packaged or repackaged by them, or do they get it in those bags and just resell it?
Does the grit from Kinsley or Miles come directly from them to you, or is it drop shipped from their supplier(s)?

Snuffy, A couple questions: Do you know if the 50 lb bags of grit you've gotten from Kinsley North or Miles Supply were packaged or repackaged by them, or do they get it in those bags and just resell it? Does the grit from Kinsley or Miles come directly from them to you, or is it drop shipped from their supplier(s)? I really cant answer that question. The bag from Miles,[Stone Tool Depot] had CARBOREXWISC stamped on the sealed bag. What I got from Kingsley North was a plastic sack full inside a large flatrater, usps. snuffy

Carborex WSC is made by Washington Mills, I believe at their subsidiary: Washington Mills Hennepin, Inc. 13230 ESK Street Hennepin, IL 61327 Tel: (815)925-7302 Fax: (815)925-7137 Email: info@washingtonmills.com You might try contacting them and ask if they'll drop ship a 50 lb bag. Couldn't hurt to ask. Maybe they can at least give you the name of a nearby dealer that could order it for you. I can't stop myself Here is a company in San Antonio that according to it's webpage, carries products from Washington Mills, though maybe not loose abrasives: Burr Off Industries 3816 Binz Engleman Road San Antonio, TX 78219 Ph. (210) 270-7551

Snuffy, Kingsley North "adjusts" their prices after you pay. They actually only charge $18 for shipping--the remainder is refunded. After their flat rate shipping deal last year, when I tried to order I got that $32 indication on postage and sent them an e-mail. The response indicated that they adjust--and they did. This year I just put on a note saying something like"I assume a portion of the shipping will be refunded; if not, please cancel my order." They refunded a portion, and I just received the 50 lbs today, so I am assuming this is current.
The first year I was also advised that I could call and order over the telephone if I was uncomfortable with the automated shipping rate. I didn't do that--but it's an option for you.

Washington Mills is a major manufacturer. They are also in Niagra Falls(NY).Contact them and find out if they have an outlet in your area. The cheapest i have ever bought coarse grit is from sand blasters. They blast w/it and buy it by the pallet load.

I got it for $103.75 including shipping from Miles Supply in May of this year. Maybe cheaper to ship to Ohio??
