Hi all Iam so new into all of this. 3 years ago i whent to Iceland to visit a the country and my back then boyfriend (husband now). First gift from him was this red jasper shaped heart he had carved and polished him self I moved to Iceland and started to find those pritty stones in some places. My first jasper i found was a red one with a blue crystal in it. Gave it away. Found more after that, i had no idea that gems like that could be found up here. This summer i got my self a stone tumbler. I have no idea what half of those stones are that had put in there (big mistake). None of them polished nicely. So tryed to devide it up in hardness. The picture is the batch iam doing now. Iam here to learn more about the stones i find and get tips and ideas from anyone who know more then me ;D Greetings to all of you. Ronja Attachments:

Hello Ronja. Wise choice to move to Iceland, it is a gorgeous country, beautiful and friendly people, a great place to live. I recently spent a week in your country and fell in love.

Ronja, to help you with your initial questions, can you post more photos of the rocks dry, and in good light?
I just saw a new thread under tumbling photos or member photos about posting pics, which may be useful to you.
When the rocks are dry and you put water on them, does the water absorb easily into the rocks or do they repel the water at all?
