With all your help and advice I have my first polished rocks to show off. While waiting for these never ending agates to tumble in step 1 (months) I decided to look for a softer stone to try. I found Sodalite at our local rock shop Jerry's Rock & Gem and had a go with them in a 3# tumbler.

While in step 1, I saw a picture post of polished Sodalite Stonewizard had posted and he was kind and sent me his tumble journal. After following step by step here are the results.
